FAQ Drop Off Paper Shredding

1. Do I need to remove staples, paperclips, or binders before dropping off my documents?

No. There is no need to remove staples, paperclips, binder clips, rubber bands, file folders, or sheet protectors. Their industrial-grade shredding equipment is designed to handle these items, allowing you to "shred it and forget it."

2. When can I drop off my documents, and do I need an appointment?

Drop-offs are accepted Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. While you can drop off anytime during these hours, it is highly recommended to call ahead at (928) 522-9226 to schedule an appointment. This ensures a technician is available to assist you and helps avoid delays if the mobile shredding team is out on-site.

3. Is there a limit to how much paper I can bring for a drop-off?

Yes. The maximum for a standard drop-off service is one full 64-gallon container. This is equivalent to approximately 7 standard-sized, lidded bankers boxes or roughly 200 pounds of paper. For amounts larger than this, you may want to inquire about their "One-Time Purge" services.

4. Can I watch my documents being destroyed?

Yes. Elevated Shredding facility is equipped with a closed-circuit video monitoring system. If you need to witness the destruction for peace of mind or compliance purposes, you can watch your documents being shredded live at the facility.

5. Will I receive proof that my documents were destroyed?

Absolutely. For every shredding service provided, Elevated Shredding issues an official Certificate of Destruction. This document serves as legal proof that your sensitive materials were disposed of properly and in compliance with privacy laws like HIPAA and FACTA.
